Human Computer Interaction: Hackathon

Hackathon NewHorizon: University of Porto
The Rectorate of the University of Porto challenged the participants of NewHorizon to make use of its exhibition spaces and the current “Maps from Academy” exhibition to explore how emerging interactive technologies can enhance the analog museum-going experience. In the hackathon, participants developed prototypes that, by aligning the beauty of mapping and cartography with the ubiquity of technology, promoted new, innovative and interactive experiences for people of all ages.
The Logo and Playbook I created for the event:
My Human-Computer Interaction Project: Using Leap Motion for Natural Gestures and Holographic Projection to enhance the museum experience in which artifacts could not be touched. I have modeled the Globe in 3D, and participants would interact with it looking through a holographic projection using a leap motion device.
Here is a little showcase of user's natural interaction.
